Description
An interesting letter written in this two page letter written 2nd December 1875 by James Ryan at the [Parnanay]? house at 267 Mill street in Paterson ,New Jersey addressed to A.T.Stewart.
Ryan writes at length about the presidency of Ulysses Grant, being a war hero ,how the country has accumulated a large national debt due in part to the civil war and then he writes a wonderful description of Paterson, new Jersey includes the completion of a new catholic church ,this probably would be interesting to a New Jersey American collector as well.
Age and wear of course folded into three.
