19th century Cdv photo of Rev Thomas Goodwill Carr,arriving in New Zealand in 1873 this methodist minister Rev Carr worked in various Parish in Auckland /Nelson/Wanganui ,Waikato areas ,
there is a writing of his that writes of his childhood in England and training as a Methodist Minister, voyage to New Zealand on the `Warwick’ in 1873, he describes his life in various New Zealand centres including the Waikato, Nelson, and Auckland, until his retirement in 1917 and comments on the war years (1914-1918,he died in 1935 and is interred in the Symonds Street Cemetery.
Thgis cdv produced by the London Stereoscopic and photographic company so i would supsect this taken prior in 1873 from England.
His Name inked to the back of the photo top and has also inked name again N Zealand at bottom reverse.
