New Zealand NZ Wairoa Harbour bar steamer Departs to sea RP Postcard

Scarcer real photo postcard, unused no publisher or photographer noted shows steam ship passing through the Wairoa bar to sea.

The bar was always complicated and had to be dug out by hand initially to gain entry to the sea and would continue to be cleared as it silted up .

Not a card I have seen before, some edges and corners wear, and age divided back so approx. 1907.
