New Zealand NZ WW1 9 carat Gold memorial KIA soldiers’ Unique piece
9 carat Gold Memorial fob in memory of Private M Olive from Tapanui NZ [to back] Front has crossed rifles 1914-18 The Great War. The piece is set in a circular gold mounting,29mm ring and scroll top suspension marked as 9ct Gold weight 9.79 gm. I take this as a one-off unique item, in lovely item. I have the printout of Pte Melville Henry Chaloner Olive which will come with this to the buyer. Service number 8/2690, He died of his wounds 23rd October 1916 and is interred in the Estaires Cemetary Nord France. He was 33 years old. Born in NZ in 1883 , his family lived in Australia at the time of his death and was well known there His address before enlistment was in Tapanui ,his father was Captain Henry Olive Brisbane Australia.
