RARE Maori 19th century collection Maori CDV photos and related 21 items

This lot makes up 21 cdvs of these 15 are good Māori CDV photos mostly single chief or women.it includes a set of three of Māori chief and his two wives in nice condition. They are unidentified bar one. Three cdvs of Māori men sitting with mostly settler men standing, NOTE these images are quite faded. Included is an 1860s image of men of the British 50th foot who in 1863 fought at Nukumara. [23 Māori died and 10 soldiers were killed. The image taken on board ship we think at Sydney returning to Britain. There is also an image of a J. Mrs Balveavis Auckland in fine dress said to be of Māori descent signed back Image also of Admiral Sir Beachamp Seymour [Lord Alcester]. In this lot we have NOT included the 2 Māori POWS and one of the soldiers who arrested them , the soldier has written and identified his soldiers in the image and noted the wives of the chiefs and of an arrested young Māori soldier.
