1785 New York Supreme court Document court case

AMERICA: an early hand written document 1785 from the New York supreme court ,appears to be a summons?? and involves a court case , I can not clearly read these names but the Sherriff signed is a H Hoffman Sherriff,  perhaps early court records examinations may shed more light on this case.

wear and age conducive for a document of 225 years now.

This had a notation of revolutionary war[this would of course be between the British crown and American settlers. Some work with these documents [see document 1806 prior to this listing].
